Director Spike Lee owns this Lennox Hill home. Lee burst onto the film scene in the late 1980s, directing movies that were both well-received critically and commercially viable. He was nominated for a screenwriting Academy Award for his controversial 1989 film Do the Right Thing. His 40 Acres & A Mule Filmworks production company has produced more than 35 films since 1983. Lee has also directed Malcolm X, Summer of Sam and Miracle at St. Anna. He's currently working on Inside Man 2 and an untitled Michael Jordan documentary. Lee worked with Jordan in the 1980s, playing Jordan fan Mars Blackmon during a popular series of commercials for Nike's Air Jordan line.
