Henry P. Bubel bought the three-bedroom, four-bath condo Unit #15B at 1170 Fifth Ave. in East Harlem from Marc H. Robert and Karen Robert for $5.1 million on Feb. 5.

Mr. Bubel is a tax lawyer and also specializes in personal planning, employee benefits and executive compensation for Patterson Belknap in New York City. He received his B.A. in economics from the University of Connecticut (1972), his M.B.A. from New York University ('74) and his J.D. from American University ('78). He also holds an LL.M. in taxation from the New York University School of Law.

The condo development at 1170 Fifth Ave., which was built in 1926, has 61 units on 16 floors.

There were 58 condo sales in East Harlem in 2008, with a median sales price of $595,000.
