Jeffrey Hwang and his wife, May, bought a two-bedroom, two-bath condo Unit #7E at 53 N. Moore St. in Tribeca from Eric Gregg and Leticia V. Gregg for $2,515,500 million on April 3.

The 1,947-square-foot condo Unit#7E was built in 1910.

Mr. Hwang is chief financial officer of IRX Therapeutics, a privately held biopharmaceutical company dedicated to the discovery and development of proprietary therapies for the treatment of cancer and viral diseases.

He has been chief financial officer of a small public sports education company and consequently was a consultant to small business enterprises. Prior to that, was vice president with Morgan Guaranty Trust Co. He was also a staff accountant with Price Waterhouse & Co.

Mr. Hwang earned his B.S. in economics, major in accounting from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and earned his M.B.A. at Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration.

Mrs. Hwangserved as chairperson and executive director at New York State Consumer Protection Board. She was vice president of the Foremost Maritime Corp., an international shipping and trading company in New York.

Mrs. Hwang graduated from Wellesley College and received an M.B.A. from Harvard University.

The development at 53 N. Moore St. is in The North Moore, which includes 46 units on six floors.

There were 107 condo sales in Tribeca in 2008, with median price of $2.2 million.
