Oracle exec. spends $1.89M on Upper West Side

Charles Rozwat and Carolyn Rozwat bought a two-bedroom, two-bath condo at 27 W. 72nd St. on the Upper West Side from Richard and Judith Sugarman for $1.89 million on June 4.

The Sugarmans paid $1.57 million for Unit #710 in June 2007.

Mr. Rozwat is an executive VP of product development at Oracle, the business software giant based in Redwood Shores, Calif.

He previously served as executive VP of the company's server technologies group. Prior to joining Oracle in 1994, he worked with Digital Equipment Corp., for 17 years. He received his B.A. degree from Marquette University.

The Olcott was erected in 1925 and converted to condominiums in 2005. It has 158 units on 15 floors.

There were 524 condo sales on the Upper West Side in 2008, with a median price of $612,500.
