Huffington Post chair Kenneth Lerer buys on Carnegie Hill

Kenneth Lerer and Joey Bartolomeo bought condo Unit #3F at 16 E. 96th St. in Carnegie Hill from Jennifer Sanford and J. Andrew Sanford for $1.025 million on June 10.

The Sanfords acquired the property for $1.125 million in April 2007.The condo is in The Queenston, a condominium building built in 1930 that houses 40 units on six floors.

Lerer is a co-founder and chairman of The Huffington Post , the news web site headquartered in New York City and launched in 2005. He previously served as the executive vice president of AOL Time Warner, and was also the founder of Robinson, Lerer and Montgomery, a public relations firm.

Bartolomeo has worked as a senior writer at People magazine, as well as for US Weekly, Allure and Harper's Bazaar. She attended Colgate University.

There were 74 condo sales in Carnegie Hill in 2008, with a median price of $1.435 million.
