Frederic Etskovitz bought the three-bedroom, 2.5-bath condo Unit #5B at 79 Laight St. in Tribeca from Emb Properties LLC for $2.6 million on Aug. 31.

Mr. Etskovitz is the CFO and treasurer of Astea International, a global provider of service management software solutions. The company is based in the Philadelphia far suburb of Horsham, Pa. He joined the company in June 2000.

He previously worked with the financial management team at Dupont. He received his B.S. from the Pennsylvania State University and his M.B.A. from the Wharton Graduate School at the University of Pennsylvania.

There are 33 units in the 10-story building at 79 Laight St., which is also known as The Sugar Warehouse. It was constructed in 1853.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 67 condo sales in Tribeca in 2008, with a median sales price of $2.04 million.
