Private investor gets $24.45M for Upper East Side home

Keith R. Gollust sold his townhome at 11 E. 82nd St. on the Upper East Side to Fifth Eighty Second LLC for $24.45 million on Oct. 16.

The townhome was built in 1899 and was designed by New York architect Henry Andersen.

Gollust is a private investor and president of New York investment firm Gollust Management Inc. He has been chairman of the board of directors of Synta Pharmaceuticals Corp., a biopharmaceutical company based in Lexington, Mass., since Sept. 2002. He also served as managing director the hedge fund firm Caxton Associates L.L.C.

He holds a bachelor's from Princeton University and a master's from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 191 home sales on the Upper East Side during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $959,750.
