Cardiologist settles into Turtle Bay condo

Dr. Michael Edward Rosenband bought a two-bedroom, 1.5-bath condo at 240 E. 47th St. in Turtle Bay from Jorge Batista for $850,000 on Oct. 26.

Unit #24B measures 1,200 square feet. The 42-story Dag Hammarskjold Tower was built in 1982 and offers 231 units.

Dr. Rosenband practices as a cardiologist at Island Cardiovascular Associates in Smithtown. He is also affiliated with John T. Mather Memorial Hospital, Stony Brook University Hospital and Saint Johns Episcopal Hospital.

He received his M.D. from the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. He completed his internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center and his interventional cardiology fellowship at North Shore University Hospital.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 194 condo sales in Turtle Bay during the last 12 months, with a median sales price of $740,000.
