Bobby Abreu sells $5.1 million condo in Midtown East

Los Angeles Angels outfielder Bobby Abreu sold a condo at 151 E. 58th St. in Midtown East/Turtle Bay to Beacon Court 37b LLC for $5.1 million on Feb. 12.

The 2,444-square-foot Unit #37B is in the One Beacon Court development, which was built in 1901.

Mr. Abreu is a Major League Baseball outfielder for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. He is a two-time All-Star and has won a Gold Glove Award and a Silver Slugger Award.

He started his Major League career with the Houston Astros. He played for the Phillies from 1998-2005, was traded to the New York Yankees in 2006 and stayed with the team until 2008.

One Beacon Court at 151 E. 58th St. has 53 stories.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 239 condo sales in Midtown East/Turtle Bay in the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $725,000.
