Psychiatrist buys condo in East Harlem

Matthew Pearson and Molly Poag bought a condo at 17 E. 96th St. in East Harlem for $995,000 from Adrian Lichter and Ann Lichter on April 28.

The condo, Unit #6C, was built in 1923 and it is part of the 17 E. 96th St development.

Dr. Molly Poag specializes psychiatry and serves as director of medical student education at the Department of Psychiatry in New York University.

She previously served as chair of the Department of Psychiatry at Lenox Hill Hospital.

She received her M.D. from the Cornell University Medical College and completed her post-graduate training in psychiatry at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and the New York State Psychiatric Institute.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 27 condo sales in East Harlem during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $725,000.
