Fine art specialist drops $1.1M in Midtown East

Yelena V. Harbick and Donald W. Harbick bought a condo at 211 E. 53rd St. in Midtown East from Richard Juman and Emese Juman for $1.1 million on Dec. 23.

The condo unit is in The Hawthorne, a mixed-use residential and commercial condominium in Sutton Place.

Ms. Harbick is an independent arts and crafts professional in New York. She has worked for Christie's New York as a senior specialist of Russian paintings.

She also served as an assistant curator at the Hillside Museum in Washington. D.C. She graduated from the University of Maryland-College Park (1998).

Mr. Harbick has served as director of NIS programs at the American International Health Alliance, Inc., in Washington, D.C.

The Hawthorne has 145 units on 12 floors.

There were 954 condo sales in Midtown East/Turtle Bay in 2008, with median sales price of $700,000.
