"Hello Dolly" star and Presidential Medal of Freedom winner owned this house

Actress Pearl Bailey owned this house in 1967. Bailey made her Broadway debut in 1946 starring in "St. Louis Woman." She starred in such films as "Carmen Jones" and "St. Louis Blues" during the 40s and 50s. Bailey was living in this building when she won a Tony Award for her performance in "Hello Dolly." She was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1988 and passed away in 1990.
